WELCOME TO THE CLUB!

Fancy Dinner Club began in 2013, as an excuse for longtime friends to keep in touch and discover the great food in the Twin Cities. Once a month we gather, we laugh, and we eat. As the years have gone by and our lives have changed with marriages, kids, new careers, and cross-country moves, so has FDC. Not only do we want to continue enjoying the food and friendship that has sustained us so far, we’re creating content of all kinds to support this fantastic local food scene. Food should be fun, which is why our archive is filled with gifs, puns, and a healthy dose of Taco Bell. If you want in on the action, or just want to show us some love, shoot us an email or slide into our DMs. We’d love to hear from you!

Dish of the Week: Cauliflower at Popol Vuh

Dish of the Week: Tom Yum Soup

There are a handful of entree-billed dishes that I hate getting as an entree: pancakes, salad, grilled cheese sandwiches, and soup. Not that these things aren't great. (Except for the...

FDC Supplemental: Pizzeria Pezzo

Dish of the Week: Korean BBQ Burrito

The downtown Minneapolis skyway system is amazing. I remember the first time I walked through it as a working, world-weary adult, and it felt alive and magical -- like Disney...

Dish of the Week: Rinata Gnocchi

I lived just blocks away from Rinata in Uptown for over three years, and I never went. Until now. Right before I decamped to the 'burbs. I'm glad I did!...

FDC Supplemental: The bon bon bons of Bon Bon Bon

Sometimes the best way to describe something is with no words at all. That's what my partner, Kate, and I learned over the last month after sampling a box of...

FDC #55: Colita

We reeled in a big one for our latest monthly meeting. Booked at the end of October, we scored a four-top for late November in one of the few open seating...

Dish of the Week: Thanksgiving

I mean... Hard to top this, no? I love everything about this plate. A quick tour, nothing revolutionary: Stuffing on the left, mashed potatoes and gravy counterclockwise to the right,...
